This year we had our Second Annual March for Babies Bake Sale & Art Raffle! As usual, we had tons of amazing baked goods flowing through the doors from all of the kind volunteers who offer up their time and services for a good cause. It never ceases to amaze me how many kind people are always stepping up to help us - help others. To everyone who donated their baked goods, art work or gift certificates to our raffle... thank you... thank you... THANK YOU!!
This year our friend Olivia donated dozens upon DOZENS of her Eat Me, Drink Me Cupcakes. Each cupcake fetched $3 a piece and had delicious flavors like strawberry malt, mint chocolate fudge and lemon with raspberry buttercream. Needless to say, they sold out. Congrats to Olivia on her new business venture!
KimB Kreatures also brought in her very in-demand Blood Clot Cupcakes. If you aren't lucky enough to have had one... they are red velvet cupcakes filled with cherries and topped with blood red frosting and black stars. KimB makes all kinds of delicious goodies for a lot of our events. People often reserve her baked goods before they are even made!
Blind Photography put up a booth to show off their amazing photography and offered up TWO gift certificates to the raffle including a $100 photo session and ad $250 boudoir photo session! Many thanks to Blind Photography for helping out with the raffle and for taking some great photos. All photos in this blog are from Blind Photography!
Shawn Palek & Tessie Rollins also deserve a huge THANK YOU as well! Shawn donated 20 of his paintings to the raffle and people were fighting over quite a few of them! Specifically the Inspector Gadget painting!
Tessie was kind enough to donate 9 of her original paintings and illustrations! The back gallery room looked so great lined with Tessie and Shawn's work!
As always... Carrie Herndon brought in her famous Whiskey Fudge. A very coveted recipe.. the only time you will get a taste of this delicious fudge is at one of our bake sales and NO, she will not give you the recipe. This time around... we sold a big chunk of it wrapped in gold paper. It went for $20 and it is that good, people!
Another great cupcake we had were donated from Fancypants Cupcake Co and they were BRAIN cupcakes. I've heard that these were delicious and had an oreo cookie at the bottom. I thought they looked awesome and were a hit at the bake sale!
There are tons of people who helped make this bake sale a success. We love and appreciate each and every one of you!! We thank you for your constant support of our business and all of the ventures we partake in. If it weren't for our friends and volunteers.... we would never have made it.
Thank you!
